Our client, a large government department is currently seeking the services of an experienced fitter armourer to work in their northside service centres at Gallipoli barracks at Enoggera.

This role is of a casual nature, offering 38hrs per week, Monday to Friday with no overtime. Ideally applicants will have a Defence background and able to meet the following criteria:

• Post 3 years experience after successful completion of Basic Fitter Armament Maintenance Course;
• Possess the qualifications, demonstrated ability and practical experience to conduct inspections of, and repair and maintain small arms including Styer, Minimi, GLA etc
• Possess the demonstrated ability and practical experience in the operation of lathes, millers, metal working machines, Oxy Acetylene and Arc welding, and metal fabrication processes;
• Possess the demonstrated ability and practical experience to repair and maintain miscellaneous workshop services equipment and/or small engines and/or textiles and/or household appliances;
• Australian Citizen and able to successfully pass a Restricted Security Assessment.
• Own basic tools
